ScanSnap S300 is a compact portable A4 colour duplex scanner designed for mobile applications, powered through the USB interface or an AC adapter. The A4 speed is 8 sheets per minute at 150 dpi colour when AC powered, reduced to 4 sheets powered through the USB interface. The optical resolution is 600 dpi and ADF capacity is 10 sheets. To speed up the scanning operation and reduce storage requirements the document size is automatically detected, image is output in colour or black and white depending on the document content, and blank pages are eliminated. Misaligned documents are automatically adjusted (descewed) and the text orientation is automatically corrected. ScanSnap S300 comes bundled with ScanSnap Manager for creation of PDF documents and ScanSnap Organizer, a virtual filing cabinett allowing filing, organizing, emailing, printing and browsing the documents. CardMinder intelligently captures the information from business cards. The Quick Menu activated by the green scan button offers scanning directly to ScanSnap Organizer, email or printer.
